Smith Street Medical Centre is a mixed billing clinic. Bulk billing is available for eligible patients, including children, Pension Card holders, and Concession Card holders. Please refer to our Fees Schedule for further information.
Patients holding a Pension or Healthcare Card may be eligible for a discounted fee. Billing is determined at the discretion of each individual doctor. If you are experiencing financial hardship, we encourage you to discuss your circumstances directly with your doctor.
Please note that Saturday and after-hours appointments incur a higher fee.
We’re open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The clinic is closed on Sundays.

Yes. If you require urgent medical attention, please hang up and call 000. For after-hours medical advice, please contact Healthdirect on 1800 022 222. For after-hours GP appointments, please contact CALMS on 1300 422 567. For a doctor home visit, please call 13SICK on 13 74 25.
Appointments cancelled within two hours, or with no notice will attract a DNA fee of
$60.
